Gaseous-Prep 2.5 Available for CNG or Propane Conversions

Ford emphasized availability of a gaseous-prep package for the 2.5-liter engine of the 2014 Transit Connect as it unveiled the vehicle as a “Taxi of the Future.” Gaseous-prep means the vehicles can be readily converted, with full Ford sanction and approval, to compressed natural gas or propane autogas operation by Qualified Vehicle Modifiers.

New Flyer Industries reports an order for 265 buses by Houston Metro from its new subsidiary NABI Bus, and says that 180 of the 40-foot vehicles will be fueled by compressed natural gas, with the CNG deliveries to start in 2015.
