First of Two Ships to Go into Dry Dock in December,
Conversion of the Pair to Be Completed in Early 2021

Tote Maritime plans to convert its two Orca-class containerships connecting Tacoma, Wash. and Alaska to liquefied natural gas-diesel dual fuel operation, starting at the end of this year and concluding in early 2021. Because of the need for the vessels to remain in service – they account for a large percentage of Alaska’s freight traffic – the company has opted to work on each ship in two stages.
