Kwik Trip & ThyssenKrupp to Present on Alt Fuels in Hot and Cold:
Second Webinar of a Series Leading up to ACT Expo 2015 in Dallas
Feeling the bite of winter? Tune in February 26 as the organizers of the Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo hold the second webinar of a series leading up to North America’s largest alternative fuels show, in Dallas this coming May.
“With much of the U.S. being blanketed by heavy snow, this complimentary, one-hour webinar will highlight the pros and cons of operating alternative fuel vehicles in regions with extreme temperature lows and highs – including fuel economy fluctuations, onboard tank storage, and fueling reliability,” says ACT Expo organizer (and Fleets & Fuels publisher) GNA – Gladstein, Neandross & Associates.
The one-hour Operating Alternative Fuel Vehicles in Extreme Weather webinar takes place at 11:00am Pacific/2:00pm Eastern time on February 26.
The scheduled speakers are
- Carl Suhr, fleet services director for Kwik Trip, a chain of 400-plus convenience stores that operates a network of natural gas fueling stations and a fleet of heavy-duty CNG and LNG trucks in the snowy Midwestern states of Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota; and
- Tom Armstrong, director of fleet for ThyssenKrupp Elevator: the U.S.’s largest elevator manufacturer operates nearly 100 propane autogas vans in both extremely hot and cold climates, including Detroit, Phoenix, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Houston.
The ACT Expo webinar series provides a preview of the programming offered at the world’s largest clean fleet event, a gathering that’s “unrivaled in providing fleet managers with the information needed to successfully deploy AFVs.”
ACT Expo itself takes place May 4-7 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. Registrations are discounted until March 13.
