Celebration of ‘Several Recent Federal Policy Victories’
Clean Cities coordinators and other alternative fuel and green transportation advocates are gearing up for next month’s Energy Independence Summit in Washington, D.C.
EIS 2016 takes place February 7-10 at the Liaison Capitol Hill hotel.
The Summit “provides a unique opportunity for Clean Cities coalitions and leaders in the clean transportation industry to network and build partnerships with each other, and with key Congressional and administration policymakers,” organizers said this week.
Renewed Tax Incentives, RFS Renewal
“This year’s Summit,” they add, “will celebrate several recent federal policy victories including increased funding for the DoE Clean Cities program and the EPA Diesel Emission Reduction grants, extension of the various tax incentives for alternative fuels through the end of 2016, the recent EPA announcement of the Renewable Fuel Standard and the recent signing of the transportation reauthorization law.”
The Energy Independence Summit is hosted by TEP/Transportation Energy Partners.
Westport, Nissan, the National Propane Gas Association and UPS are EIS 2016 platinum sponsors.
The deadline for discounted hotel rooms is January 22.
