‘Largest Clean Fleet Conference in North America’s History’
Organizer Gladstein, Neandross & Associates expects more than 3,500 attendees from around the world at ACT Expo 2014, which is now under way in Long Beach, Calif.
It is the “largest clean fleet conference in North America’s history,” GNA says. ACT Expo is co-located this year with NGV Global 2014, the world natural gas vehicles meeting. ACT Expo 2014 also includes co-located events by organizations including PERC, the Propane Education & Research Council, and CHBC, the California Hydrogen Business Council.
Attendees include representatives of fleets, technology companies, OEMs, fuel providers, infrastructure developers, and policy makers.
“This is an incredibly exciting time for clean transportation,” said Erik Neandross, CEO at GNA.
‘Momentum Is Building’
“Momentum is building in every alternative fuel sector – including greater vehicle sales, expanded infrastructure, and more favorable policies to pave the way for AFV adoption.
“ACT Expo provides a unique setting for fleet managers to learn about the latest clean vehicle technologies, as dozens of our 200-plus sponsors and exhibitors are debuting new products right here on the show floor,” Neandross said.
ACT Expo’s program is tailored to educate fleet managers on the wide range of clean transportation options across all weight classes and alternative fuel types –including natural gas, propane autogas, electric, hybrid, hydrogen fuel cell, DME, clean diesel, and renewables.
Fleets and Decision-Makers
Program highlights include fleet alt fuel vehicle deployment case studies from Anheuser-Busch, Coca-Cola, Enterprise Holdings, Frito-Lay, Golden Eagle, LA Metro, New York City DoT, Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Penske Trucking Leasing, Portland Public Schools, Sysco Food Services, UPS, Verizon Communications, and Waste Management.
The ACT Expo keynote speakers are
- Dennis Slagle, Executive VP, Volvo Group on Tuesday, May 6;
- Matt Petersen, Chief Sustainability Officer for City of Los Angeles, on Wednesday, May 7; and
- Ronald Litzinger, President of Southern California Edison, on Thursday, May 8.
The sold out show floor will feature more than 200 of the clean transportation industry’s leading fueling, equipment, and technology providers. Attendees will see more than 70 alternative fuel vehicles, and will be able to test drive many of them in the Wednesday afternoon ACT Expo 2014 Ride-and-Drive.
The Expo Hall is open to the public at no charge on Wednesday, May 7 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Thursday, May 8 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
