ACT Expo is about alternative fuels but it’s also about efficiency. Conference partners including Walmart and Trucking Efficiency – a joint collaboration between the North American Council on Freight Efficiency and Carbon War Room – are urging clean transportation professionals to come to Texas and learn about the latest technologies that are helping fleets reduce both emissions and their fuel costs.

The Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo takes place May 4-7 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas.

Efficiency at ACT Expo 2015:

    There’s more than one way to reduce your fuel costs.

    Making Your Fuel Go Farther on Monday, May 4 from 1:00pm-5:00pm: Learn how to earn fuel savings of as much as $13,000 per truck within 24 months or less in this half-day workshop. Small group discussions will uncover the benefits and challenges of adopting various technologies, including 6×2 axles, idle-reduction devices, electronic engine settings, and automated transmissions.

  • The Trucking Efficiency Summit on Wednesday, May 6 from 2:30pm-5:30pm, a two-part workshop geared toward improving fuel economy for Class-8 tractor trailers. Expert speakers will focus on advancements across powertrain and efficiency solutions.
  • NACFE’s Annual Fleet Fuel Study briefing on Wednesday, May 6 at 2:00pm: Learn how 15 major North American fleets are improving fuel efficiency with advanced technologies. NACFE’s 4th annual report will be released, featuring 40% more fleet data than the previous study, including purchasing history on more than 75,000 tractors over the past 12 years.


Trucking Efficiency Pavilion

ACT Expo 2915 attendees are also invited to the exhibit hall’s Trucking Efficiency Pavilion featuring Walmart’s Advanced Vehicle Experience (WAVE) truck from Peterbilt. Also on show will be the most innovative efficiency technologies on the market, including emissions and idle reduction products, tractor/trailer efficiency products, and fleet telematics and GPS offerings.

The pre-show webinar on April 15 will help ACT Expo attendees get the most out of the early May event. Organizers promise and advance look at the “revolutionary” technologies and tactics that are advancing the efficiency of heavy-duty fleet operations. Industry leaders will detail key considerations for fleets to take into account as they move to optimize fuel cost savings. Topics to be covered include expected versus actual performance, varying ROIs, and operational adjustments that maximize engine efficiency.
