November 18-21 at Four Sites in Maryland and Virginia
The Mid-Atlantic Alternative Fuel Vehicle Roadshow takes place at four locations bracketing Washington, D.C. from November 18-21.
The series of three-hour events includes “a showcase of clean-fuel vehicles (everything from cars to big trucks) and experts touting the benefits of propane, natural gas, electric and biofuels to replace traditional gasoline and diesel.”
Element Fleet Management, a manager of commercial vehicle and equipment fleets, will host the opening tour event on Tuesday, November 18 at its corporate headquarters in Sparks, Md., north of Baltimore.
It will be followed by events on
- Wednesday, November 19 at Montgomery County’s David F. Bone Equipment Maintenance and Transportation Operations Center in Rockville, Md;
- Thursday, November 20 at the historic Main Street Station and Cathedral Walk in Richmond, Va; and
- Friday, November 21 at the Chesapeake Conference Center in Chesapeake Va.
Each tour stop includes a vehicle showcase (free and open to the public from 9am-10am) and a two-hour seminar of short presentations covering alt fuel basics for fleet managers, military, and municipal planners on how to evaluate and select the best alt fuel options. Case studies will show the returns on clean fuel investments.
The Alternative Fuel Vehicle Roadshow is a collaborative effort with area Clean Cites Coalitions nationwide. November’s Mid-Atlantic events will feature lead-in introductions from Virginia Clean Cities executive director Alleyn Harned.
