Transportation Efficiencies Forum Precedes Green California Summit
A Clean Fleet Transportation Efficiencies Forum and clean vehicle showcase and ride-and-drive will precede the April 7-8 Green California Summit and Exposition at the Sacramento Convention Center. The April 6 Forum is being organized by Calstart, the Sacramento and East Bay Clean Cities organizations, and fleet optimization specialist CarbonBlu of Rocklin, Calif.
The goal is to help educate fleet personnel about strategies, technology options, and best practices associated with increased vehicle sustainability and efficiency via an interactive, hands-on forum.
“Attendees will come away with a better understanding of the elements of fleet sustainability including the processes and tools that will allow them to intelligently deploy cleaner and more efficient fleet vehicles,” Calstart says.
The program covers petroleum reduction, alternative fuels, and electrification options, as well as available incentives for clean vehicles and infrastructure.
“They will get a hands-on opportunity to experience the latest advanced technology fleet vehicles.”
GM, Hino, Mercedes, the utility PG&E, XL Hybrids, and Zenith Motors are furnishing vehicles, with vehicles from Ford, Motiv, Nissan, and Odyne pending.
The Green California Summit and Expo is organized by Pasadena-based Green Technology.
