Denver’s OnTerra Systems is talking up deployment of a locator function on websites operated by the National Biodiesel Board.
“The maps on our website were the top-visited pages before the change, and are even more so now,” NBB information technology chief Scott Tremain says in an OnTerra release. “This was an area we simply had to get right.”
The maps show biodiesel fueling providers and distributors.
OnTerra says it was selected for its strong expertise in web mapping and locator technology in general, and more specifically because of its LocatorSavvy store locator development tool. OnTerra “was quite willing to customize their platform to our specific needs,” Tremain says in the announcement.
When OnTerra’s work was done was finished, NBB took ownership of the locator web platform and continued to refine and enhance it. “We took a great foundation and have been building on it and refining it with the help of our clients,” Tremain said.
“Our members are quick to pick up a phone and call when something isn’t working right. The biggest testament that the member and distributor locator is working well is that we’ve not heard any complaints at all.”
OnTerra “took a big piece of our project off of our plate so we could focus on the rest,” he said.
“Our LocatorSavvy platform is unique in that it offers powerful features and functions at competitive pricing,” said OnTerra COO Patrick Campbell. “We can enable virtually any sized business to leverage geospatial data for competitive advantage while allowing them to focus on what they do best, which is running their business and taking care of customers.”
