Agility Fuel Systems, which is moving from vehicle retrofits to the supply of natural gas fuel system modules to OEM customers like Freightliner and Paccar’s Kenworth and Peterbilt, has moved into a new, 29,500-square-foot headquarters facility in Santa Ana, Calif.
Agility Fuel Systems is just one year old, as it was formed last year behind the merger of Fab AFV and Enviromech, which between them claimed some 10,000 compressed natural gas and liquefied natural has installations in service. Fab chief Ron Eickelman became Agility president and Joe Pike of Enviromech is Agility VP.
Agility uses CNG fuel cylinders from a variety of suppliers, and also last year unveiled space-saving rail-mounted assemblies using tanks from Quantum (NASDAQ:QTWW) that look almost exactly the same as diesel fuel tanks.
