Impco Technologies reports that Isuzu commercial vehicle dealers can now select its Impco Automotive facility as a ship-through option to convert gasoline-powered NPR-HD (14,500-lb. GVWR) trucks for compressed natural gas.

Impco is now offering ship-through conversions of Isuzu trucks to CNG.

Isuzu trucks built in Charlotte, Mich. plant are taken to Impco in Union City, Ind. for CNG system installation. Upon completion, Impco says, vehicles are returned to ICTA – Isuzu Commercial Truck of America – for North American distribution.

“This program will simplify the vehicle modification process for dealers and fleet managers,” Impco says.

The ship-through option is be available “from any Isuzu dealership nationwide,” said Impco sales director Jay Sandler, “with minimum delay and complexity.”

Impco Technologies is a unit of Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSYS).
