First Promotion on This Continent of Its CNG Cylinders
China’s Beijing Tianhai Industry Company made its first appearance at a North American trade show last week, promoting Type I, Type II and Type III compressed natural gas fuel cylinders at NGV Global 2012 in Mexico City.
Westport BTIC, a joint venture with Canada’s Westport Innovations, makes the liquefied natural gas tanks used in the Westport HD engine and fuel system for heavy duty trucks.
BTIC itself is a Chinese joint venture, with total investment of more than $46 million dollars, a raft of ISO and other international approvals, and “six professional manufacturing bases for the production of cylinders in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Langfang.”
In addition to CNG cylinders, BTIC supplies tanks for the chemical and petroleum, fire-fighting, energy, city construction, food processing, metallurgy, mechanics, and electronics sectors.
America Fortune Company is a BTIC subsidiary and sales outlet in Houston, Texas.
