Registration Deadline for Kickoff Meeting is Friday
November 16 is the online registration deadline for the Methane Opportunities for Vehicular Energy kickoff meeting being held December 6 at the Hilton Crystal City at Reagan National Airport outside Washington, D.C. MOVE is a $30 million initiative of the U.S. DoE’s Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy, which recently made multiple awards aimed at better and cheaper compressed natural gas vehicle fuel tanks and home fueling (F&F, July 13).
MOVE program director Dane Boysen is to share ARPA-E’s expectations and aspirations for the program, and project awardees will provide brief overviews of their work.
“The kickoff meeting will also provide an introduction to ARPA-E’s Technology-to-Market program,” states an event summary, “and will feature a keynote presentation and several panel sessions to discuss automotive industry trends, international and domestic market drivers, and regulatory hurdles that MOVE technologies will have to navigate to reach widespread deployment and impact.”
The December 6 gathering is closed to the media.
ARPA-E will host a broader Energy Innovation Summit, the fourth annual event, at the Gaylord Convention Center outside Washington, D.C. February 25-27.
February’s ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit is organized by Technology Forums (Leesburg, Va.).
