California Company Claims U.S. and California Certification
Southern California’s Greenkraft, Inc. reports California Air Resources Board and U.S. EPA certification of its 2013 dedicated-compressed natural gas fuel system for 6.0-liter General Motors engines for 14,000 and above GVRW trucks and custom chassis manufacturers.
Greenkraft offers a complete GM powertrain (engine and transmission) that can be installed in new custom chassis or trucks. Or, the firm can perform retrofits to allow engines to run on CNG instead of diesel, “which can help reduce the cost of fuel for fleet operators.”
You Gotta Go CARB
“The certifications are especially important because several states have either adopted or are in the process of adopting California’s emissions standards,” sales director Frank Ziegler said in a release this week.
Greenkraft names New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Maryland and Florida as states requiring the CARB ticket.
