Discounts for Exhibiting at Tri-Annual Show: ‘Time to Commit’
NGVAmerica is gearing up for the massive tri-annual American Public Transportation Association show in Texas in October 2014, offering discounted exhibit space in the 8,300-square-foot NGV Zone there, with the best buys expiring in just five weeks, on March 1.
“Although 2014 may seem far off into the future, NGVAmerica has secured an advantageous location for our NGV Zone on the show floor at a very good rate which, in turn, affords us the ability to contract exhibit space with you at a significantly reduced price,” NGVAmerica market development manager Tom Sheehan said in an email blast.
“Past years’ participation of up to 41 companies at APTA shows in the NGV Zone is a strong indicator that this is a worthwhile endeavor,” Sheehan said. “We also know that at least one in five buses on order are natural gas, and that current numbers reflect this purchasing trend to be even more positive at up to 25%.
“There is a huge upside for our industry in this sector,” Sheehan said. The APTA Expo, he said, “is the largest public transportation showcase in the world featuring over 750 exhibitors and attracting more than 17,000 decision makers in the public transportation industry.”
Pricing, for commitments made by March 1, 2013:
- NGVAmerica member: $28.40/square foot
- Non-NGVAmerica member: $33.50/square foot
by January 10, 2014:
- NGVAmerica member: $33.10/square foot
- Non-NGVAmerica member: $35.00/square foot
Pricing is determined by the date of commitment (with signed contract and 50% deposit check), “because NGVAmerica is meeting a contractual payment schedule with the show organizer,” Sheehan says, noting that the show organizer is charging $36.50 per square foot for non-APTA members.
“It’s been my experience that many members delay a decision to join our Zone and wait to the last possible moment,” Sheehan says. “I strongly suggest that you sign up now because NGVAmerica has the ability to reduce our Zone size…
There Could Be ‘No Room at the Inn’
“What I’m saying is that if you wait to the last minute, there may be no room for you at the inn – unlike in the past when we held additional exhibit spots.”
A signed agreement with 50% is required to nail down the discounted rates.
“Please direct all questions to me as I will be administering this endeavor,” Sheehan says. “I will send you contracts and invoice if you wish to move forward.”
