Two Are Online in Texas and a Third Building in Oklahoma
CNG In A Box, the powerful pre-packaged compressed natural gas fueling station product unveiled by GE and Chesapeake Energy’s Peake Fuel Solutions affiliate, is now fueling vehicles, with installations on line in Cleburne (south of Fort Worth) and Marshall, Texas (just west of the Louisiana border, serving the Haynesville Shale).
Both were installed by Oklahoma City-based Preferred Service CNG, which is putting in a third unit, which it will maintain, in Duncan, Okla.
CNG In A Box is described as “a plug-and-play on-site fueling solution that comes with everything retailers need to add low-cost natural gas fuel to their operations quickly and simply” (F&F, October 10).
The firms say they expect to deploy 250 of the CNG In A Box systems through 2015.
