The Bartlett, Ill.-based Auto Truck Group has released a new catalog detailing its upfit work using Knapheide, Reading and numerous other standard truck bodies, and reports that it stands ready to do compressed natural gas and propane installations as well.

Auto Truck handles CNG upfits using equipment primarily from from BAF Technologies (for Ford vehicles), and also has worked with conversion gear from Landi Renzo-Baytech, Impco-NaturalDrive, and Altech-Eco, says process control manager Pete Taskovic. The company has done Roush CleanTech propane autogas installations at its ship-through location at Louisville, Ky., near the Ford factory there.

Other locations with alt fuels experience include Auto Truck headquarters in Bartlett, Colorado Springs, and FWF, the Fort Wayne Fleet center in Indiana, Taskovic says.

“We can handle it anywhere,” he adds, telling F&F that Auto Truck has a roving team of alt fuel technicians trained by the various fuel system equipment suppliers.

Catalog Cracks the Codes

Auto Truck’s new general catalog features information, images and specifications on routinely stocked truck bodies including dump bodies, service bodies, platforms, mechanics trucks and snow plows. The catalog also offers a body selector guide and lists ship-through, drop ship and facilities codes for the company.
