F-450 and F-550 with 6.8-Liter Engine for EPA States

Landi Renzo USA will add bi-fuel CNG-gasoline upfits of Ford F-450 and F-550 Super Duty trucks via ship-thru points effective the second quarter. The U.S. subsidiary of Italy’s Landi Renzo SpA is seeking U.S. EPA certification of the upfits with the 6.8-liter spark-ignition engine.

Landi Renzo USA has launched a new corporate website too.

“The widespread adoption of our dedicated CNG and bi-fuel systems, for both Ford and GM based platforms, has translated into increased industry awareness of the durability and reliability of our technology,” Landi Renzo USA/Baytech president Andrea Landi said in a release. “Our customers have expressed significant interest in Landi Renzo developing this particular application and we have answered their requests.”

Landi Renzo already offers dedicated-compressed natural gas upfits of Ford F-450 and F-550 trucks, as well as CNG for Econoline vans and the F-650 Super Duty. Landi Renzo bi-fuel is available now for the F-250 and F350 trucks.

In addition to the ship-thru system, Landi Renzo upfits are available through certified installers and at the firm’s 25,000-square-foot QVM installation facility in Torrance, Calif. (QVM is Ford’s designation for Qualified vehicle Modifier).

“Flexibility is the foundation of our distribution model,” the company says. “A single distribution channel is not always the right fit for every utility, shuttle, and delivery company or government fleet.”

Landi Renzo USA is talking up its re-designed website too.
