Upfitter Claims Best Price for CNG Ford Conversions: $8,350
Venchurs Vehicle Systems now claims the lowest price point in the industry for compressed natural gas conversions of Ford pickups, trumpeting $8,350 for Ford F-250 and -350 pickups, with 6.2-liter engines, dedicated-CNG or CNG-gasoline bi-fuel.
Venchurs cites lowered supply chain costs – and the new 23.5 gasoline gallon equivalent Type IV CNG tank from 3M – as helping with the lower process.
“We believe that our new price point will help move the industry forward, increasing the speed of adoption by fleet customers and retail customers alike,” Venchurs CEO Jeff Wyatt said in a release.
Faster ROI, Says CEO Wyatt
“We have been working with companies like 3M to reduce the overall cost of conversion. With our new pricing, customers can reduce the amount of time it takes to see a return on their investment and ultimately make converting to CNG a financially viable option,” Wyatt said.
The dedicated-CNG model is a fit for operators in areas of heavy infrastructure, Venchurs says, while “the bi-fuel model offers a combined range of over 675 miles and on-the-fly switching between fuel types.”
Venchurs is a QVM – Qualified Vehicle Modifier – so the original Ford warranty stays intact and the conversion can be financed through Ford Credit.
