New CNG Station in Atlanta to Use Microbox Package
Atlanta-based CNG Southeast is to install a new fueling station in NW Atlanta using a Microbox packaged CNG compressor from Argentina’s Galileo.
The station on Fulton Industrial Boulevard will be the third such Galileo installation in the U.S. and the first in the Southeast.
The compact Microbox unit is designed for plug-and-play, Galileo says: “It can be installed without any further civil works to ensure its safety.
“Once on the ground, it can be installed and commissioned in a record-breaking time, since it only needs to be connected to the gas network,” the manufacturer says.
Wide Range of Natural Has Fueling Possibilities
Galileo has 30 years of fueling experience and is tackling the U.S. market in earnest. The firm’s principal U.S. representative is Clean Fuel Connection in Arcata, Calif.
CNG Southeast is targeting April start-up of the Atlanta station, says operations director Norm Morrison. His firm also handles such Galileo products as the Nanobox for CNG and the newer Cyrobox Nano for liquefied natural gas dispensing, he told F&F.
A cluster of seven Cyrobox units is being used to fuel an LNG ferry in Buenos Aires (F&F, May 3) and there is similar potential in the U.S., Morrison says.
CNG Southeast performs vehicle conversions, too.
