Firms Team in Response to Expected Miami-Dade County Request
Clean Energy Fuels (NASDAQ:CLNE) has teamed with Miami’s Munilla Construction Management to help establish a compressed natural gas fueling infrastructure in south Florida. They will respond to a Miami-Dade County request for qualifications for a CNG fuel savings pool, states a release.
“The country is quickly switching to natural gas – cleaner, less expensive and domestic – to fuel fleet vehicles and Miami-Dade County should be no exception,” MCM co-founder and VP Pedro Munilla says in the announcement.
“When MCM decided to expand our decades of construction experience and knowledge of South Florida to this market, we knew we had to partner with the best fuel provider and we found that in Clean Energy,” he said.
“Clean Energy and MCM are a powerhouse team” taking advantage of MCM’s 30 years of heavy civil construction and local Miami expertise, said Clean Energy senior sales and finance VP Peter Grace.
“Miami-Dade County is showing leadership in transitioning fleet vehicles to natural gas,” the companies say. “The MCM Clean Energy team is uniquely qualified to serve all aspects of the Request for Qualifications from station design and construction to financing and CNG supply.”
The companies have already established a south Florida CNG website.
