NGVAmerica & Canadian NGV Alliance Meeting November 10-14
NGVAmerica has advised members that the 2014 North American NGV Conference & Expo has been scheduled for the Kansas City Convention Center, November 10-14.
The meeting will be co-hosted by NGVAmerica and the Canadian NGV Alliance with the support of the Kansas City Regional and Central Kansas Clean Cities coalitions (both managed by Metropolitan Energy Center).
Centrally located Kansas City was selected after a review of the bus fall tradeshow and conference line-up to avoid scheduling conflicts, an evaluation of the convention facility, and an assessment of regional and local organization logistical and promotional support, NGVAmerica says.
More Exhibit Space, More Conference, More People
NGVAmerica and CNGVA drew approximately 1,100 people, including 300 expo-hall only visitors to this past November’s meeting in Atlanta. The organization is planning for a bigger event this year, contracting for 95,000 square feet of expo space (a 20% increase), and booking additional breakout rooms for an expanded educational program.
The two associations are setting up a Conference & Expo Planning Committee, and are planning an outreach campaign “targeting public and private fleet operators across the full spectrum of niche market sectors and representing the full slate of light, medium and heavy duty vehicles; federal, state and local policy makers; natural gas industry stakeholders, including the exploration and production, mid-stream and distribution sectors; C-store, truck stop and other fuel station developers and operators; the investment community; and clean-air/clean-transportation policy advocate-allies.”
Attendance in Kansas City is expected to exceed 1,500, NGVAmerica says, promising to launch the 2014 North American NGV Conference & Expo website soon.
