Orlando Public Access Station Yet Another in the Network for Frito-Lay
AmpCNG, Trillium CNG, Frito-Lay and state and local officials celebrated the opening of a public-access fast-fill compressed natural gas fueling station in Orlando.
The station by joint venture Amp Trillium is located at Lewis Petroleum’s Silver Star Fuelman station in the Princeton Industrial Park, two blocks from Frito-Lay North America’s Orlando plant.
The amp Trillium station in Orlando will have two dual-hose dispensers, allowing two semitrailers to fuel at the same time. Trillium’s fast-fill hydraulic intensifier compressor will allow fills of 10 gasoline gallon equivalents per minute.
“We’re committed to supporting Frito-Lay’s North America’s CNG fueling infrastructure build-out plan,” Trillium CNG president Mary Boettcher said in a release. Frito-Lay last year selected Trillium CNG to fuel its fleet of CNG tractor-trailers at least five locations (F&F, June 19, 2013).
“The new station “connects southern Florida to CNG infrastructure throughout the southeast, creating an opportunity for local and regional fleets to realize the economic and environmental benefits of CNG,” said AmpCNG CEO Nate Laurell.
