Business Enough to Bring an Additional Winder into Play

Norway’s Hexagon composites reports that its Hexagon Lincoln unit has received orders for Titan compressed natural gas transport and Smartstore CNG storage modules worth some $21 million.

Hexagon unveiled the Titan5 XL with capacity of 44,250 liters at the NGV2012 show in Mexico City. The TitanXL represents an evolutionary design with more than 49,000 liters capacity at the same total weight. NGV2012 photo by David Perry. Lincoln Composites is now knows as Hexagon Lincoln.

The modules and trailers will see industrial use in Canada and Mexico, states a release, and vehicle fueling daughter station applications in Malaysia and South America.

“Hexagon Lincoln is responding to the strong demand by commissioning an additional Titan winder into operation,” the parent company says.

‘Largest of Its Kind’

Hexagon’s TitanXL is the largest CNG trailer of its kind,” said Hexagon gas distribution products VP Frank Haeberli.

“Our first 14 units were ordered by leading gas transportation clients based in Mexico just weeks after our new product announcement,” he said in today’s announcement.

The majority of deliveries of the new orders are scheduled for the third and fourth quarters of 2014, Hexagon said.
