Orders for both Rail-Mount and Back-of-Cab Units Worth $700,000
Quantum reports $700,000 worth of orders for its Q-CabLite and Q-RailLite brand onboard compressed natural gas storage modules from a new customer, Wisconsin-based Time Transport Inc.
“Our last order was 20 trucks which are all Peterbilts bringing us to 46 total CNG units in our fleet,” says Time Transport VP Mike Buchmeier. Most of the firm’s new vehicle will be day cabs with Q-CabLite back-of-cab arrays, he told F&F, while two will be regional trucks with both Q-CabLite back-of-cab and Q-RailLite rail-mounted systems.
“The addition of Time Transport to our growing customer base is further evidence that that our Q-CabLite and Q-RailLite storage modules are being recognized in the CNG market for the great value they provide due to their better fuel capacity and weight savings,” Quantum CEO Brian Olson said in a release.
Type IV Tanks
Both products feature integral fuel receptacles, pressure gauge, safety systems (including shut-off valves), pressure relief devices, pressure sensors and fuel metering subsystems (including pressure regulator and thermal management).
Both employ Quantum’s Q-Lite brand Type IV CNG fuel cylinders.
Time Transport earlier this year partnered with Gain Clean Fuel for CNG fueling services (F&F, April 15).
