Clean Cities Stakeholder Meeting Hosted by N.J. Natural Gas
The New Jersey Clean Cities Coalition is organizing a natural gas vehicle stakeholder meeting, to be held on of February 13. The late-morning event is being hosted by New Jersey Natural Gas in Wall, N.J.
“Our goal is to bring together the many varied stakeholders of natural gas vehicles (NGVs) and to begin an organized dialog regarding issues surrounding use of natural gas a vehicle fuel,” says NJCCC coordinator Chuck Feinberg.
The meeting he says, is expected to include
- New Jersey-based as well as national fleets that currently use NGVs (or are considering it);
- fuel providers;
- infrastructure providers;
- vehicle manufacturers and upfitters;
- business advocacy groups;
- legislative affairs specialists; and
- public officials.
Growth and interest in NGVs, Feinberg notes, has taken place in New Jersey “despite the currently low diesel and gasoline prices, and despite the fact that there are few, if any, state-level incentives available.”
