Gastech Singapore 2015 takes place October 27-30 at the Singapore Expo exhibition center. It is being organized by the UK office of DMG Events. This year’s event will be the first with an NGV Zone. NGVs are among the topics at the Gastech CoTE (Centres of Technical Excellence) seminars too.

The NGV Zone, says NGV Global, “will showcase the latest technological advances and highlight the increased flexibility to use natural gas within transportation.”

20% Growth in Asia

NGV Global cites recent statistics showing that half the world’s NGVs and fueling stations are in Asia, “with growth in both averaging 20% per annum.” One report states that by 2022, more than three quarters of the market for natural gas buses and trucks will be in Asia.

Vehicles in Asia, like this CNG truck in Thailand, are expected to account for more than three quarters of the world's heavy duty NGVs by 2022.

“The use of natural gas in transportation is growing globally, and in Asia the growth has been remarkable,” NGV Global executive director Diego Goldin said in a release. “The NGV zone at Gastech will provide an excellent showcase for the industry, providing high quality business opportunities,” he said.

Suppliers and Buyers Connect

“With the key growth markets based in Asia, the partnership between NGV Global and Gastech Singapore will connect suppliers and buyers,” the association says. Attendees are expected to include “over 400 VIPs who represent some of the world’s biggest companies and key government officials who decide future energy policies. It is your chance to place NGVs firmly on their business agenda.”

Abstracts for CoTE presentations, including presentations on NGVs, are due February 28.

NGV Global is also talking part in ACT Expo 2015, organized by Fleets & Fuels publisher Gladstein, Neandross & Associates May 4-7 in Dallas (F&F, January 2).
