Units Are ‘Designed to Withstand Harsh and Heavy Use’
Dover’s OPW CleanEnergy Fueling Products unit is promoting a new line of breakaway couplers for compressed natural gas vehicle fueling. The company’s FLB-1000 and FLB-5000 breakaways are said to be lighter, more affordable, and to allow better fuel flow than competing products.
They are “designed to withstand the harsh and heavy use at commercial, industrial and retail CNG fueling sites.”
They “will benefit you by protecting your personnel and dispensing equipment during an accidental drive-off event,” OPW says.
The new breakaways are certified PED compliant (Europe’s Pressure Equipment Directive) by Germany’s TÜV and likewise meet NGV 4.4 requirements, the manufacturer adds. Standard equipment includes polyurethane seals, bumper guards and integrated covers for durability and safety.
- easy reconnection after a drive-off event;
- field-serviceable with standard tools;
- high-pressure design up to 18,130 psi (1,250 bar);
- 100% leak- and breakaway-tested; and
- traceable serial numbers.
OPW’s FLB-1000 and FLB-5000 breakaways are available individually or as an NGVLB kit – Next Generation Vent Line Breakaway to maintain proper, pre-engineered hose offset.
