County Authority to Add More Than 50 Vehicles This Year

Florida’s city-owned Pensacola Energy gas utility says that its “best customer” for compressed natural gas is adding 51 natural gas vehicles this year, including 34 CNG-fueled Autocar refuse trucks.

Expect ECUA to add at least one more CNG-fueled sewer vac truck this year.

ECUA, founded as the Escambia County Utilities Authority in 1981, has Florida’s most diverse fleet of NGVs, operating vehicles ranging from Chevrolet and Ford pickup trucks to Peterbilt tractors (F&F, August 29, 2014).

Pensacola Energy operates three public access CNG stations in the Pensacola area.
