North American Repower for Spark-Ignition DT 466 Engine
As CNG Cylinders International Supplies Tank and Assembly
California’s North American Repower will unveil a new all-natural gas Class 5 vehicle at ACT Expo 2015 in Texas next week, showing an International 4000 series truck with spark-ignition 7.6-liter DT 466 engine.
Used diesel engines are modified for all-natural gas operation by Missouri’s Springfield Remanufacturing Corp, says NAR partner John Reed.
Lean-burn operation makes for fuel efficiency “pretty much on a par with diesel,” Reed says.
Rail-Mount CNG by CNGci
In another first at ACT Expo 2015, CNG Cylinders International will detail its plans to augment its line of fast fill-capable Type III fuel cylinders with fuel cylinder assembles like the rail-mounted storage on both sides of the NAR truck.
ACT Expo takes place May 4-7 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas.
