The basic message: the price of oil will rise again. “Current pricing is not sustainable for many oil producing nations,” the association says.

There is an ongoing “compelling case” for NGVs: natural gas is a domestic fuel with stable pricing relative to the conventional liquids. Even with low price of oil, natural gas offers “significant savings over both diesel and gasoline,” NGVAmerica says.

The association’s North American NGV Market: Snapshot of Market Metrics, Recent Trends, Future Outlook was presented at the Green Truck Summit held in conjunction with the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis last month.
