Truck Service at Eight Locations, LNG Fueling with Shell at Four

TravelCenters of America has completed upfits at eight  TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube facilities to provide maintenance and repair for both compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas-fueled trucks.

The maintenance activity is in addition to TA’s partnership with Shell to provide LNG fueling. (A fourth TA-Shell LNG fueling location was recently opened in San Antonio. Others are in Baytown, Texas, in Lafayette, La. and in Ontario Calif.; F&F, March 30.)

The four sites provide maintenance services for CNG and LNG trucks, as do TA Truck Service facilities in Harrisburg, Pa., Dayton, Ohio and south Dallas, and the Petro truck stop in West Memphis, Ark.

Potential for Many, Many More

“San Antonio is our fourth site to offer LNG and we now have eight truck maintenance and repair facilities for LNG and CNG vehicles,” TravelCenters president and CEO Tom O’Brien said in a release.

“All of our LNG lanes are ‘super lanes’ in that they are equipped to dispense LNG, diesel and DEF,” O’Brien said. “Because super lanes are integrated with existing fuel lanes, we do not interrupt truck traffic flow, or reduce available truck parking spaces.”

TravelCenters of America has 254 full-service locations off interstate highway exits. The company is headquartered in Westlake, Ohio.
