Also Releases Update on 6.8-Liter GM Engine Work
Michigan’s Crazy Diamond Performance says it’s received U.S. EPA approval of its compressed natural gas-fueled Chevrolet Cruze for the 2016 model year. Specifications for CDP’s “EcoDrive” upfit for the Chevy Cruze include an 8.5 gasoline gallon equivalent Type III cylinder, giving the vehicle a range of up to 320 highway miles.
razy Diamond also said Tuesday that testing of its “TorqueDrive” 6.8-liter GM engine has shown an 11% increase in fuel economy over the OEM model, with “60 additional horsepower and 154 additional pound feet of torque.”
Crazy Diamond is developing the engine for CNG and propane autogas operation.
