Wisconsin Company Supports Gain and Other Fueling Providers
Wisconsin-based CMD Corp is promoting its compressed natural gas infrastructure prowess, noting that it offers “a complete array of CNG fueling station equipment, site integration/planning, service and parts – including a full-service, hands-free program that offers 24-hour monitoring and support to ensure uninterrupted fuel service.”
“We have been building and installing our equipment in CNG stations since 2013,” says marketing director Lisa Kain. A key customer is Gain Clean Fuel, she told F&F, as CMD has “for the last three years supplying to them exclusively, per an agreement.”
CMD equipment may be found in multiple Gain Clean Fuel branded CNG stations throughout the U.S. (F&F, June 12).
CMD says it’s leveraging “35 years designing and building industrial equipment for the film converting market” and has become “a technology-driven innovator” for CNG fueling station equipment, offering custom and stock machinery, replacement parts, upgrade kits, engineering and service support.
CMD notes that its CNG systems feature advanced PLC/programmable logic controls, high-quality inlet gas dryers, ASME storage tanks, piping/tubing, “and specialized booster or pressure reduction systems where needed.”
CMD notes too that it’s a certified GE Compressor packager – offering compressors ranging from 75 to 400 psi. CMD says it can provide both fast-fill and time-fill fuel dispensing along with data management systems for accurate fuel usage records.
CMD claims several technology and design exclusives, including
- a unique, “walk-through” enclosure design for easier accessibility to the compressors for operation and maintenance, with sturdy decking for standing and walking and segregated hot and cool components;
- extreme-weather tolerance, proven during the 2014-2015 winter;
- a full service and support program includes a “four-step, wrap-around approach from remote monitoring to speedy service dispatch; and
- a CMD mobile app allowing monitoring of stations from Apple iOS, Android, and Windows Phone mobile devices.
CMD is a privately-owned firm. It was founded in 1980 and has more than 150 employees. Its equipment is designed and manufactured at 125,000-square-foot campus in Appleton, Wisc.
