Crazy Diamond Performance Systems Offered by New Business Entity
Icom North America is promoting its new Green Bridge Technologies, LLC subsidiary as the point of sale for natural gas vehicle systems developed by Crazy Diamond Performance.
Green Bridge – aka GBT – assembles, markets and distributes CDP’s U.S. EPA-certified natural gas vehicle systems across North America, states a Wednesday release.
“The Icom Group has now expanded into natural gas vehicle systems,” said Icom chairman Ralph Perpetuini.
“Icom will be handling the sales, marketing, kitting and distribution,” of the CDP-developed equipment, CDP founder Kevin Fern told F&F.
Chevy Cruze and Trax
Icom North America is best known for its hundreds of propane autogas engine and vehicle certifications. “The addition of an innovative natural gas system technology will continue to support our role as an industry leader in the alternative fuel world,” Perpetuini said.
CDP publicized EPA certification of its compressed natural gas-fueled Chevrolet Cruze sedan this past summer (F&F, July 14). The Michigan-based company also promotes a CNG-fueled Chevy Trax.
An Under-Served Segment
“We chose to launch with the Chevrolet Trax and Cruze as they fit a key fleet segment that was under-supported such as: utilities, municipalities, government agencies, livery and medical delivery fleets,” GBT and Icom CEO Albert Venezio says in this week’s announcement.
“Performance and miles per gallon meet or exceed the gasoline versions,” said Fern.
