Multi-Configuration P30 and P36 Units Introduced in Denver

OPW took the occasion of this week’s 2015 North American Natural Gas Vehicle Conference & Expo in Denver to introduce a new pistol-grip nozzle allowing one-handed self-service compressed natural gas vehicle fueling.

OPW’s introduced its new pistol-grip nozzle for CNG fueling at the NGVAmerica meeting in Denver this week. The yellow nozzle is for 3,600-psi fueling and the blue nozzle is for 3,000-psi fueling.

OPW’s introduced its new pistol-grip nozzle for CNG fueling at the NGVAmerica meeting in Denver this week. The yellow PG41P36 is for 3,600-psi fueling and the blue PG32P30 is for 3,000-psi fueling.

The NGV1-compliant nozzle is available in 12 configurations depending on customer needs. Features include

  • high-flow/fast-fill capability for quick fueling of medium storage vehicles;
  • internal seals designed for fast-fill NGV fueling;
  • ergonomic design: “simple squeeze and release motion ensures connection and dispensing by all users,” with an insulated body to protect the operator’s hand; and
  • directed venting to capture the gas otherwise lost at disconnect;

The new OPW nozzle has jaw-lock technology for the frequent coupling and uncoupling of the high-pressure gas connection. “Forces at the contact point are distributed over the entire surface,” OPW says.

All units are individually leak-tested and inspected, and have traceable serial numbers.

OPW’s new pistol-grip nozzle is available in a dozen different configurations.
