TruStar Station West of Chicago is Waste Hauler’s Ninth
Advanced Disposal this week opened its ninth compressed natural gas fueling facility: a TruStar Energy station in Batavia, Ill., immediately west of Chicago. “Fourteen of the company’s trucks fill up at the station every night and keep the greater Batavia community cleaner and greener every day,” states a release.
“This number will increase as the company replaces retiring diesel trucks once their useful life has expired.”
“At the end of this year, approximately 15% of our fleet will run on CNG,” Advanced Disposal CEO Richard Burke said in a release. “We continue to invest in CNG to not only keep our fleet running cleaner and to create a more sustainable Earth, but this cleaner fuel source also reduces operations costs thereby enhancing stakeholder returns.”
The new Batavia station cost approximately $2 million, Advanced Disposal says.
The station is powered by twin 200-horsepower Ariel compressors in an ANGI Energy package, says TruStar. The facility has 54 time-fill posts and one space for fast fills, Advanced Disposal says.n
