Public Event in Commerce City Slated for January 15
Sapp Bros, Inc. and Stirk Compressed Natural Gas will open a new public access CNG station in Commerce City, just southeast of Denver, on January 15. “This station utilizes fast fill CNG dispensers for filling all vehicles with emphasis on Class 8 trucks,” states today’s notice.
The station is located near the intersection of Interstates 70 and 270 at an existing Sapp Bros Travel Center.
Combined with existing CNG stations in Lincoln and Columbus, Neb. and in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the new Denver station represents a “continuing commitment to build a CNG infrastructure, the firms say.
They note that $500,000 was provided by the Colorado Energy Office through the Alt Fuels Colorado program (F&F, February 3, 2015).
