Dillon and Ruan Named as Renewable Natural Gas Customers
Amp Americas said at ACT Expo that it has formed AmpRenew as a new division focused on the sale of RCNG/renewable compressed natural gas from AmpCNG’s biogas operation at Fair Oaks Farms in Indiana, site of the largest on-farm biodigester in the country.
“In addition,” said a release, “Dillon Transport and Ruan Transportation Management Systems have signed fueling agreements with AmpRenew to fuel a portion of their fleets at AmpCNG’s public-access fueling stations.”
AmpRenew’s RNG is to be completely sourced from the AmpCNG biogas operation at Fair Oaks Farms in Indiana, said to be the largest on-farm biodigester in the country.
‘Committed to Expanding Our Renewable Operations’
“Five years ago, Amp Americas was conceived as a renewable energy development company with the goal of helping long-haul trucking fleets become greener and cleaner,” AmpCNG CEO Grant Zimmerman said in a release. “We remain committed to expanding our renewable operations with aggressive, sustainable and innovative solutions.”
Dillon Transport will be served by AmpCNG’s two fueling stations in Jacksonville, Fla. Ruan, one of the first fleets to use RNG from Fair Oaks Farms, will continue to fuel at AmpCNG’s three stations in Indiana.
40 Million Miles
In partnership with Ruan, AmpCNG’s 42-tractor fleet recently hit a milestone by eclipsing 40 million miles powered by AmpCNG’s CNG and RNG. AmpCNG and its parent Amp Americas operate a network of 19 CNG stations.
“With numerous fueling station projects under development, the businesses support some of the largest CNG fleets in the country with partners in the food and beverage, agriculture and dairy industries,” states the AmpRenew announcement.
