Xpress Natural Gas Is Investing a First-Phase $18,620,000
To Fuel Up to 100 Hexagon and Quantum Delivery Trailers
Xpress Natural Gas is to build a 130,000-square-foot compressed natural gas depot on 20 acres of land in Forest Lake Township, Susquehanna County, Pa. “The company will invest $18,620,000 in this first phase, which includes the land purchase and construction and infrastructure costs for the station,” states a release from the office of Governor Tom Wolfe.
“XNG has committed to the creation of 88 new, full-time jobs over the next three years,” the announcement states.
XNG produces CNG for industrial and other off-pipeline customers. The New York -based firm has also branched to Virginia and to Washington State, where it is using Broadwind-Safe compression gear (F&F, August 25).
XNG is planning a “high capacity CNG station” for Susquehanna County, says executive VP Matt Smith: “Some of the technology was customized for our needs.”
For CNG deliveries, “We are using Hexagon Lincoln and Quantum trailers,” he told F&F: “all Type IV.”
