25 Front Discharge Ready-Mix Concrete Trucks
With ISX12 G Engines and Hexagon Fuel Cylinders
Are Part of an $8 Million CNG-Fueled Fleet Project:
Utah’s Geneva Rock Products has fielded 25 compressed natural gas-fueled McNeilus Oshkosh S-Series front discharge concrete mixers. The 11-cubic-yard capacity trucks are powered by 11.9-liter, 400-horsepower ISX12 G engines from Cummins Westport.
The new trucks have Type IV fuel cylinders from Hexagon Lincoln holding 75 DGE/diesel gallon equivalents of CNG.
The McNeilus NGen trucks are part of an $8 million CNG fleet project that includes an ANGI Energy time-fill installation (F&F, January 24).
The trucks were sold directly by the manufacturer to Geneva Rock.
“McNeilus enjoys a factory direct-to-end-user relationship with our customers,” says regional sales manager Joel Davies.
For post-sale support, “We have a full service branch and parts facility in Salt Lake City,” he told F&F.
Going forward, McNeilus has a new relationship with Agility Fuel Solutions, a close partner of Hexagon, for onboard CNG fuel systems (F&F, June 7, 2016).
Collaborative production is to commence this year.
