Clean Energy’s Mitchell Pratt is the New Association Chair
As Matt Godlewski Is Leaving to Work for Ford in Michigan
The NGVAmerica executive committee met at ACT Expo last week following the April 27 announcement by Matt Godlewski that he is stepping down as association president. AGA/American Gas Association policy VP Kathryn Clay has been named interim executive director. An early task: name a new permanent chief – and a new NGVAmerica chair.
Participating in the special meeting at ACT Expo meeting were ex- and acting NGVAmerica chair and former Agility Fuel Systems fonder and CTO Ron Eickelman, Cummins Westport president Rob Neitzke, current Agility Fuel Solutions president and CEO Bill Nowicke, and Waste Management corporate fleet director Marty Tufte.
They selected Clean Energy Fuels COO Mitchell Pratt as the new NGVAmerica chairman. He’s heading up the new presidential search committee. Clay and Nowicke are on the search panel, as is Bill Cashmareck of Love’s Trillium CNG.
The goal is for a new president to be in place by mid-August, states an association memo. “This process will be discussed further with the Board during a special teleconference on May 16.”

The NGVAmerica Summit 2018 is take place in Palm Springs, Calif. February 21-23, 2018. Please save the date – more information will be forwarded soon.
Godlewski, meanwhile, said he’s taking a “senior role” with the Ford government affairs team in Michigan. “Leading NGVAmerica has been a rewarding experience and a significant part of my career,” he said. He’ll wrap up at NGVAmerica sometime this month.
