The new CNG time-fill station, Long Beach says, includes fully-integrated fuel compression equipment with backup power, capable of ten-hour fills for 80 trucks and 20 sweepers, ‘enabling them to refuel overnight, and be ready and be ready to provide services to residents the next day.’

“This station will provide a local source of clean fuel for the City’s new fleet of CNG-powered refuse trucks and street sweepers,” states a release.

Fitted with “fully-integrated fuel compression equipment” and backup power, it has for capacity for the overnight fueling of 80 trucks and 20 sweepers, the city says.

Long Beach tapped TruStar Energy to design, build and maintain the new station last year (F&F, July 22, 2016).
