Private Time-Fill Station for Refuse Trucks and Street Sweepers
The city of Long Beach, Calif. has opened its new compressed natural gas station, a private facility for time-fill fueling at the city’s Temple/Willow Yard.
“This station will provide a local source of clean fuel for the City’s new fleet of CNG-powered refuse trucks and street sweepers,” states a release.
Fitted with “fully-integrated fuel compression equipment” and backup power, it has for capacity for the overnight fueling of 80 trucks and 20 sweepers, the city says.
Long Beach tapped TruStar Energy to design, build and maintain the new station last year (F&F, July 22, 2016).
