San Francisco-based Charge Across Town is staging EV Week next month with focused activity on the City’s deep downtown Justin Herman Plaza September 17-18.
EV Week is described as a free community event designed to engage consumers, local businesses and large employers to make more use of plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles – and to help facilitate more widespread use.
Featured vehicles include Toyota’s new RAV4-EV and Plug-in Prius (Toyota is cited as a prime sponsor, along with Pacific Gas & Electric), the Tesla Model S, the Nissan Leaf, BMW’s Active E, the Fisker Karma, the Ford Focus, the Mitsubishi MiEV, the Honda Fit EV and Coda Automotive’s sedan.
Also on show will be Ecotality’s complete line of Blink EV charging solutions, as well as smartphone apps from leading companies, and “music and entertainment during lunchtime.”
Employers can sign up in advance and reserve ride-and-drive tests for their employees.
