As Much as $85,000 in Buy Down Support for New Trucks
East Bay Clean Cities is spreading the word that Calstart and the California Air Resources Board have slated two San Francisco Bay Area workshops for HVIP, the California Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project.
- Monday, September 10 at the offices of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District in San Francisco, and
- Tuesday, September 11 at the Sacramento AQMD offices in Sacramento.
“The voucher reduces the cost right at the time of purchase,” notes Richard Battersby of EBCC. “No complicated proposals. No long contracts. No reimbursements.”
HVIP, he says, “helps fleets buy clean trucks faster and for less.”
Three-Year Commitment to California
Registered dealers can process vouchers for their fleet customers at the time they place an order. HVIP vouchers range from $8,000 to $60,000 for a hybrid, and from $12,000 to $85,000 for an electric truck.
Fleets must commit to operating HVIP-supported vehicles within California for at least three years after the voucher redemption date.
