Free Workshop at the Main Public Library This Saturday
The California Center for Sustainable Energy, in partnership with SF Environment, is holding a free electric vehicle workshop “for Californians interested in learning everything about life as a plug-in electric vehicle owner.”
The Future is Electric: Plug In and Get There will be held in the Koret Auditorium in the San Francisco Public Library’s main branch on Larkin Street, Civic Center, from 10:30am to 2:00pm.
Among the topics are
- vehicle incentives – up to $10,000 for eligible vehicles;
- Pacific Gas & Electric’s PEV rates and programs;
- updates on local PEV charging infrastructure and car sharing services; and
the financial and environmental benefits of owning a PEV – plug in electric vehicle.
“A panel of your neighbors will share a range of their experiences from purchasing a PEV, installing a charging station as well as the financial benefits associated with making the switch to a PEV,” organizers say.
There will be test drives – and a free lunch for advance registrants.
