The California Center for Sustainable Energy and partners including the City of San Francisco’s SF Environment unit are hosting The Future is Electric: Plug In and Get There, a free workshop at the San Francisco Public Library, this coming Saturday, June 8.

The Future is Electric: Plug In and Get There will be held in the Koret Auditorium in the San Francisco Public Library’s main branch on Larkin Street, Civic Center, from 10:30am to 2:00pm.

Among the topics are

  • vehicle incentives – up to $10,000 for eligible vehicles;
  • Pacific Gas & Electric’s PEV rates and programs;
  • updates on local PEV charging infrastructure and car sharing services; and

the financial and environmental benefits of owning a PEV – plug in electric vehicle.

“A panel of your neighbors will share a range of their experiences from purchasing a PEV, installing a charging station as well as the financial benefits associated with making the switch to a PEV,” organizers say.

There will be test drives – and a free lunch for advance registrants.
