Three-Year Package Applies Retroactively, LCS Price Reduced

ClipperCreek has extended warranties to three years across its entire line of residential electric vehicle chargers, including products already in service. Additionally, ClipperCreek has lowered the price of its popular 20-amp LCS-25 to $495.

ClipperCreek has extended the warranty on its LCS, ECS, ACS and PCS residential chargers to three years for both new and in-service units, and has lowered the price of its LCS-25, at right, to $495.

The new warranty terms apply to LCS, ECS, ACS and PCS units.

“A three year warranty matches up better with our customer’s lease terms so it made sense to extend this benefit,” ClipperCreek CEO Jason France said in a release.

The new warranty stands “regardless of whether they were purchased before or after this announcement,” the company says.

All Installations Covered

“ClipperCreek stands behind our product regardless of who installs it,” France said. “ClipperCreek products are made to be simple to use and easy to install, who installs the product has no affect on the warranty, any licensed electrician can install ClipperCreek products.”

The LCS-25, now priced at $495, includes the smallest install footprint on the market, 20 feet of charging cable for maximum installation flexibility – and the new manufacturer’s warranty.

“In most cases a local licensed electrician can install the LCS in an hour or two, for a fraction of the cost of national install programs,” said Will Barrett of ClipperCreek said in the pricing announcement.

ClipperCreek says that its products “are compatible with and approved for use on all plug-in vehicles including the Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt, Ford Focus Electric, Tesla Model S, Honda Fit Electric, Toyota RAV4EV, and Toyota Plug-In Prius.”

ClipperCreek products are manufactured in Auburn, Calif.
