“This vehicle was purpose built for customers who want a light electric utility vehicle that is rugged, durable, and tackles work applications,” Tim Blinkhorn, general manager for GEM, said in a release.
GEM’s new eM1400 has a 7-horsepower AC motor, 48-volt battery array, independent rear suspension and front MacPherson Strut. Curb weight is 1,500 pounds, GVW is 2,950 pounds. Top speed is 19 mph and single-charge range is stated as up to 45 miles.
“The rugged, ergonomic design and 1,250-pound towing capacity makes this the perfect vehicle for hauling cargo across a property or jobsite,” Polaris says.
The eM1400 has a base MSRP of $9,999.00. Factory installed options include removable bed sides and a fully enclosed max box. The eM1400 can be further customized to fit a variety of work applications.
