PG&E and Odyne to Outline the Increasing Range of Options
Tune in for another ACT Expo preview as organizers, working with the support of the Electric Drive Transportation Association, host the Electrify Your Fleet webinar at 11:00am Pacific (2:00pm Eastern) time on Wednesday, March 18.
“Today’s electric-powered vehicles are available in more weight classes and applications than ever before,” notes ACT Expo organizer (and Fleets & Fuels publisher) GNA – Gladstein, Neandross & Associates.
“From plug-in hybrids to extended range and full electric vehicle options, these systems have proven success in reducing fuel costs and carbon emissions, while meeting the tough operational demands of today’s most demanding fleets.”
The March 18 webinar speakers are
- Ned Biehl, fleet manager with Pacific Gas and Electric. Biehl will outline PG&E’s business case for the ongoing large-scale deployment of zero-emission vehicle technologies.
- Matt Jarmuz, sales director with Odyne Systems. Jarmuz will tell how Odyne’s advanced plug-in hybrid technology enables trucks over 14,000 pounds to have substantially lower emissions, improved performance, quieter job site operation, lower fuel consumption, and reduced operating and maintenance costs.
ACT Expo 2015 takes place May 4-7 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. The gathering includes four days of conference sessions, workshops, and off-site technical tours – “all designed to educate fleet managers on operational considerations for successfully deploying, fueling, and maintaining” EVs and other alternative fuel vehicles.
