Governor Announces Additional Money for Electric Vehicle Rebate Program
Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has allocated an additional $2 million to the state’s Mor-EV electric vehicle rebate program, which provides up to $2,500 to Massachusetts residents who buy or lease clean electric vehicles.

“This program is valuable both economically and environmentally, saving drivers money and supporting the Commonwealth’s emissions reduction goals,” Massachusetts Energy Secretary Matthew Beaton said in a release.
Initial Funding Was $2 Million
The Mor-EV initiative has to date provided rebates for over more than 700 zero and low-emission vehicles. Eligible vehicles include full battery EVs, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, fuel cell electric vehicles, and zero-emission motorcycles.
The Mor-EV program was initially funded with $2 million in Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative auction proceeds.
